Abstract

This study aims to determine the motivation of work and organizational commitment that
is significant simultaneously to the performance of employees at PT. BPR Nur Semesta
Indah Kencong Kabupaten Jember. This research is a quantitative research by finding
associative association that is causal or research that is asking about the relationship
between two or more variables and causality. Samples taken are 35 people. The
sampling technique used in this study is saturated sampling. The results of this study
indicate that there is a significant effect of work motivation on employee performance at
PT. BPR Nur Semesta Indah Kencong Jember Regency and there is significant influence
of organizational commitment to employee performance at PT. BPR Nur Semesta Indah
Kencong Kabupaten Jember. Simultaneously there is significant influence of work
motivation and organizational commitment significantly to employee performance at PT.
BPR Nur Semesta Indah Kencong Kabupaten Jember. Multiple linear regression function
yielded Y = 9,588 + 0,423X1 + 0,327X2. The result of coefficient of determination shows
that 39,7% employee performance can be explained by independent variable that is work
motivation and organizational commitment, while the rest is 60,3% employee
performance influenced by other variables not examined in this research. The limitation of
this research is to examine work motivation and organizational commitment as a factor
affecting employee performance, while other variables that can affect employee
performance, such as leadership style, work ethic, compensation, work environment and
so forth are expected to be examined by next researcher in period and service different
internet.
