Abstract

Every organization is always trying to improve the success of human resources in performing their duties efficiently and effectively so as to achieve the goals set. The success of the organization in achieving its goals depends largely on the work performance achieved by each employee.This study aims to determine the effect of motivation and discipline of work on the performance of employees of the Office of Housing and Settlement Area Lumajang regency. The type of research used is quantitative. The research respondents amounted to 40 employees including civil servants or honorary as sample based on saturated sample method. Analyzer used is multiple linear regression. The results showed motivation and work discipline simultaneously no significant effect on job performance. Partial motivation has no significant effect on job performance and work discipline partially has no significant effect on employee performance at housing and Settlement Area (DPKP). This is evidenced by the coefficient determination of 0.04.
